Manual systems:

- Contain a transfer system allowing the use of a portable generator to power your existing electrical circuits.

- The home owner is responsible for controlling the load on a manual system.

- Require manual transfer when utility power is lost.

- Require a sheltered spot for generator to run in bad weather.

- Require manual exercise for portable generator.
